THE WIFE LIFE: YEAR 1

Image
Lessons from all our quirks Happy New Year 2020! Cheers to the beginning of a new decade! This was long overdue as this is supposed to be a “ONE YEAR IN” moment. Our first anniversary was 3 months back, yet still the first whole year that Jeff and I lived together. And though we have known each other for almost a decade, it’s fun that there were still some surprises along the way. Ok. Let me tell this straight, there is nothing new here. We are not expecting (yet), we haven’t bought a new house or a new car but we did make some career move decisions. So what is year one for my life as a wife?

2019 Skincare Empties and how I ended up with the basics

Image
We are already in the last two months of the year!!! can you imagine how fast this year has gone by?? It is in early 2019 that my face experienced the worst acne during my adulthood.   And so my in-depth search for the best skincare to help my skin had begun... I have a very simple skincare routine Facial wash, toner, vitamin c serum, moisturizer and sunscreen. Wow! Typing this may seem a handful, but it’s really that simple!

We sent our wedding invitation to the White House!!! See what happens next!!

Have you ever wondered what happens if you as an ordinary citizen, decided to invite the President and the First Lady on your wedding day?!  Jeff and I got married recently, September of this year.. and as we were sending invitations, something extraordinary came to our minds, “Why not send an invitation to the White House?” We did.

PROMT: Do you want to save the changes?

Image
At the end of 2017, I asked myself,   “Do you want to save the changes?”. If you are in my shoes, how would you respond to a yes or no question? I answered No. Which makes me hope for a better, stronger and wiser self.  That makes the gift of   new year comes in handy.  A new day, a new beginning that makes our unfinished business, mistakes and regrets of yesterdays amendable.

Remembering What the Mind Forgets

Image
While having my break, i decided to sit at one of the benches of the park near the hospital (where i am working) with my soda crackers trying to catch a breath of fresh air. There i saw an old man with an old woman. From my view, i can see that he is patiently taking care of her, giving her food, asking what she needs and all. I decided to come closer, sit at the bench where i can observe them closely. the sight of long and lasting love makes me wonder if true love that can endure the challenges of time really exists. Coming close, hearing better, I realise that love knows no boundaries, and it is not something that can be tested through distance and time but rather a love that can last a lifetime.

The World I am yet to see

Life is indeed full of surprises. A year ago, i never imagined i will be sitting on this chair, in this place, writing this down. Never did i realized that at age 28, i will have the chance to actually tick almost about three fourths off my bucket list which a decade ago were all impossibilities. (I just listed them because i am thinking of a lifetime to work for it).
