We sent our wedding invitation to the White House!!! See what happens next!!
Have you ever wondered what happens if you as an ordinary
citizen, decided to invite the President and the First Lady on your wedding
day?! Jeff and I got married recently,
September of this year.. and as we were sending invitations, something extraordinary came to our minds, “Why not send an invitation to the White House?”
We did.
We will only get married once, so why not try? Maybe it will
be our last chance to send something to the President. We sent the wedding
invitation to the Greetings Office of the White House in Wahington D.C. (We
suppose that all greeting cards from anyone in the country will be screened in
that office)
In all honesty, we are not expecting anything in return. But
after getting married and spending our honeymoon in the east coast for 10 days,
we received something exciting in the mail! It was a small manila envelope from
THE WHITE HOUSE!
We received this very special envelope. Seeing the return address makes you giggle with excitement!
This comes inside. I will show you a close-up look of the letter from the President and the First Lady.
the funny thing though, both of our names were spelled incorrectly, but actually, who cares?! we received a congratulation letter from the White House! That's huge man!
What do we get from this blog post? Actually, nothing! It just answers the question of "Can we send a wedding invitation to the White House?"
One more thing, we also send our Wedding invitations to Rick Warren and of course my favorite, Mickey and Minnie Mouse! and here are their responses!
